  • Turnkey design & installation
  • ISO9001 / CE certified
  • 24/7 global after-sales support

Product Overview

The URIDGE Plastic Crusher is designed for size reduction of plastic production scrap and recyclable plastic materials such as film, bottles, pipe, hollow parts and edge trim. The machine reduces the feed material into smaller particles for downstream recycling, material handling or reprocessing.

Different knife structures and screen configurations can be selected according to the material form and required output size. Available motor and capacity configurations cover applications from smaller production scrap recycling to higher-throughput plastic processing.

Suitable Materials

The crusher is intended for plastic materials including:

  • Waste plastics
  • Plastic edge trim
  • Plastic film
  • Plastic bottles
  • Plastic pipes
  • Hollow plastic parts
  • Thin-wall plastic scrap
  • Plastic processing scrap

Crusher vs Shredder

A shredder is generally selected when large, bulky or thick plastic pieces need primary size reduction. A crusher is typically used for hollow, thin-wall or smaller plastic scrap such as film, bottles, pipe and production edge trim where a finer output size is required. The appropriate machine depends on feedstock form, piece size and downstream processing requirements.

Feed Opening

The crusher uses an 800 × 600 mm feed opening for introducing plastic scrap into the cutting chamber.

Knife Options for Different Plastic Scrap

Different knife configurations can be selected according to the plastic material, feedstock form and crushing requirement. Available knife options include:

  • V-Type Knife
  • Flat Knife
  • Claw Knife

Screen and Output Size

A replaceable screen helps control the final material size. The standard screen opening is 12 mm and other screen sizes can be configured according to the required output. Typical final particle size can be below 10 mm depending on material and machine configuration.

Motor Power

Motor power is available in a 7.5–75 kW range and is selected according to machine size, material and required capacity.

Capacity

Typical capacity ranges from approximately 50 to 800 kg/h. Actual capacity depends on material type, feedstock form, piece size, screen opening, knife configuration and motor / machine configuration.

Online Grinding for Production Scrap

The crusher can be integrated near production equipment for online size reduction of suitable plastic scrap and edge trim. Typical users include injection molding factories, pipe extrusion factories and plastic processing plants.

Optional Pneumatic Conveying and Dust Collection

Optional pneumatic conveying can transfer crushed material to downstream collection or storage. A dust-collection configuration can also be supplied where required.
