Product Overview
The Double Shaft Shredder is a heavy-duty industrial machine engineered for processing tough, bulky, and mixed materials that are difficult to handle with conventional shredding equipment. It is widely used for reducing the size of tires, metals, electronic waste (e-waste), plastics, wood, industrial scrap, and construction and demolition (C&D) debris. Its robust dual-shaft design, equipped with interlocking, wear-resistant blades, delivers superior shredding power and efficiency, making it an ideal solution for high-volume recycling, waste reduction, and resource recovery applications.
The counter-rotating shafts work in tandem to shear, tear, and crush materials into uniform, manageable sizes. This machine excels in handling challenging applications — including automotive recycling (tires, bumpers, car shells), e-waste processing (circuit boards, cables, appliances), and industrial scrap management — while ensuring minimal downtime and consistent output.
How It Works
The double shaft shredder utilizes two parallel shafts rotating in opposite directions at low speed with high torque. The interlocking blades mounted on the shafts hook, tear, and shear the feed material into smaller pieces. The shredded material falls through a screen mesh (customizable size) at the bottom of the machine, ensuring uniform output particle size. If the machine encounters unshreddable objects (such as hard metals or large stones), the automatic reverse function activates to prevent jamming and protect the machine from damage.
