Product Overview
The URIDGE Three-Roll Calender is designed for cooling, forming, calendering and surface finishing of extruded plastic sheet, board and film. It can be installed directly downstream of a flat extrusion die and configured according to material, product width, thickness, roll surface requirement and production speed.
The machine uses three independently driven rolls, with independent temperature control for each roll. Depending on the application, roll diameter, roll face width, roll arrangement, surface finish, drive system and automation level can be customized.
Suitable Materials
The calender can be configured for PVC, PP, PE, ABS, PS, PET, PA and PCL, and other plastics suitable for roll calendering.
Typical Applications
- Plastic sheet extrusion
- Plastic board extrusion
- Plastic film extrusion
- Smooth sheet surface finishing
- Matte sheet surface finishing
- Patterned sheet / film surface forming
- Cooling and dimensional stabilization after extrusion
Roll Arrangement Options
Roll arrangement can be configured as vertical, inclined, horizontal or inclined-horizontal according to the product and line layout. The arrangement is selected according to material, sheet thickness, product path, factory layout and downstream process.
Roll Diameter, Width and Product Thickness
Across the custom range, roll diameter is available from φ100 to φ600 mm, effective roll face width from 200 to 3000 mm, and maximum product width up to 2800 mm. Product thickness ranges from 0.018 to 20 mm. These are configurable ranges across customized projects, not a single machine covering all sizes at once.
Mirror, Matte and Patterned Roll Surfaces
Roll surface finishes can be configured as mirror, matte or patterned according to the required product surface. Mirror rolls suit smooth surfaces, matte rolls suit low-gloss surfaces, and patterned rolls suit a specific surface texture. Roll surface finish, machining precision and runout requirements are configured according to the customer’s final product requirements.
Independent Temperature Control for Three Rolls
Each of the three rolls can be temperature-controlled independently using water or heat-transfer oil. The available roll temperature range is 5–220°C, and the actual set temperature depends on the material, product and process.
Independent Roll Drive
Each roll is independently driven, allowing the roll speed to be configured according to processing requirements. The roll speed range is 0–40 m/min; actual speed depends on material, product thickness, extrusion output and downstream line speed.
Motor and Servo Options
Drive options include AC variable-frequency motors or servo motors. Servo control is available as an optional configuration.
Roll Gap Adjustment
Roll gap adjustment is available as manual or electric, selected according to machine size and customer requirement.
Safety Features
The machine is equipped with emergency-stop and safety-protection provisions.
Integration with Sheet Extrusion Lines
The three-roll calender can be installed directly downstream of a flat extrusion die as part of a sheet, board or film extrusion process, for cooling, forming, calendering, surface finishing and thickness stabilization.

Notes:
- The three-roll calender is a customized machine rather than a fixed standard model.
- Roll diameter, roll face width, roll arrangement, surface finish, drive system and control configuration are selected according to the plastic material, product width, thickness and production process.
- Actual roll temperature and speed depend on the material, extrusion output, product thickness and downstream process.
- Roll surface roughness, machining precision and runout requirements are defined according to the customer’s final product requirements and are not represented by one fixed standard value.
- The machine can be integrated directly after a sheet extrusion die.
