Product Overview

The URIDGE High-Speed Hot & Cold Mixing Unit is designed for mixing, heating, homogenizing and cooling plastic raw materials before extrusion or other downstream processing. The system combines a high-speed hot mixer with a cooling mixer.

In the hot mixer the formulation is rapidly blended and the material temperature is raised through high-speed agitation, self-friction and, where required, electric heating. After hot mixing, the material is transferred to the cooling mixer, where its temperature is reduced before discharge, storage or downstream processing.

High-Speed Hot Mixing

During high-speed mixing, the rotating impeller rapidly blends the formulation components. Heat is generated through material friction, and electric heating can also be used depending on the process.

Cooling After Hot Mixing

After hot mixing, the material is transferred to a cooling mixer. Cooling reduces the material temperature before storage, handling, extrusion or downstream processing.

Heating Options

Depending on the formulation and process, the hot mixer can use electric heating together with heat generated by high-speed material friction.
