Product Overview

The URIDGE Flexible PVC Sealing Strip Extrusion Line is designed for producing flexible PVC sealing profiles used in door, window, furniture and related profile applications.

The line processes flexible PVC pellets through a single-screw extrusion system and a customized extrusion die. Each die is designed according to the customer’s final profile drawing and cross-sectional structure.

Because sealing-strip geometry varies between applications, the extruder and die configuration are selected according to the raw material, profile shape, profile complexity and required production conditions.

Production Process

The standard process flow is:

Flexible PVC Pellets → Material Feeding → Single-Screw Extrusion → Customized Die → Cooling Water Tank → Haul-Off → Winding.

Material is fed into the single-screw extruder, melted and homogenized, then pushed through the customized die to form the sealing profile. The extruded profile passes through the cooling water tank, is pulled steadily by the haul-off unit and is finally wound by the winding unit.

The extruder and the extrusion die are core standard equipment, not optional add-ons. Their specification and structure are configured according to the flexible PVC formulation, final product shape, cross-sectional geometry and complexity.

Single-Screw Extrusion

A single-screw extruder is used for this flexible PVC sealing strip line. The single-screw extruder melts and homogenizes the flexible PVC material before it enters the customized die.

Customized Extrusion Die

The extrusion die is designed according to the customer’s finished-profile drawing. The final die configuration and quotation depend on the profile cross section, dimensions and structural complexity.

For an accurate machine and tooling quotation, customers are encouraged to provide the finished-profile drawing, cross-sectional drawing and dimensions.

Cooling, Haul-Off and Winding

After leaving the die, the profile enters the cooling water tank to set and cool. The haul-off unit pulls the profile continuously and steadily, and the winding unit collects the finished soft PVC sealing strip in coils.

Melt-Temperature Control

Stable melt-temperature control is important when processing flexible PVC sealing profiles. The extrusion system can use internal oil cooling inside the screw together with copper-tube cooling around the front barrel section to help control material temperature during extrusion. Combined with PID temperature control, this supports more stable melt conditions through extrusion and die forming.

Pressure Closed-Loop Control

A pressure closed-loop control strategy can help maintain more stable extrusion pressure and material flow through the customized die.

Automation and Control

The line can be equipped with a Siemens PLC and an HMI touchscreen interface. PID temperature control and adaptive temperature control are used for extrusion temperature management. Optional automatic weighing and feeding systems can be configured according to production requirements.

The control system can also include:
