Overview
A plastic profile extrusion line forms continuous profiles by melting plastic material, pushing it through a custom profile die, and then sizing, cooling, pulling and cutting it to shape. A typical line runs: extruder, custom profile die, vacuum calibration, cooling, haul-off, cutting, and stacking or coiling.
The profile cross-section is defined mainly by the die and tooling, so each profile geometry uses its own tooling design. Different materials and end uses call for different line configurations; URIDGE lines are built around material compatibility, material selection and changeover for PVC, PE, PP, ABS, PA and WPC.
