Product Overview

The URIDGE CNC Plastic Sheet Punching Machine is a single-sheet punching system for perforating plastic sheets, primarily PCL orthopedic sheets. A sheet is loaded into the machine, positioned automatically by a CNC feeding system and X-Y servo axes, and punched by a 25T gantry punching press according to a programmed hole pattern. Punch tooling and hole diameter can be customized according to the required layout.

PCL Orthopedic Sheet Punching

PCL sheets can be punched with programmed hole patterns using CNC feeding and X-Y servo positioning. The punching process creates the required perforated structure in the sheet. This describes the machine processing application only.

Other Plastic Sheet Applications

PCL and other plastic sheets suitable for punching can be processed. Punching can be used to create ventilation or filtration openings and to reduce the weight of a sheet by removing material in selected areas.

CNC / X-Y Servo Positioning

The sheet is positioned automatically in the X and Y directions by servo-driven axes according to the programmed punching layout, working with the CNC feeding machine.

The machine uses a 25T gantry punching press with a punching force of 250 kN.

Punching speed is 80–120 strokes/min. Actual speed varies with hole pattern, sheet layout, material and tooling.

Maximum Workpiece Size

Maximum workpiece size is 1100 × 620 mm (length × width). This is the maximum single-sheet workpiece size.

Maximum sheet thickness: up to 4.2 mm.

Punch Tooling and Hole Diameter

The referenced project was supplied with punch pins from φ1.3 mm to φ3.3 mm. Other punch diameters can be customized according to the required hole pattern and application. Punch tooling is selected according to the required hole diameter and punching layout.

How the CNC Punching Process Works

  1. A single plastic sheet is placed into the machine.
  2. The CNC feeding system positions the sheet.
  3. X-Y servo axes move the workpiece according to the programmed hole layout.
  4. The gantry punching press performs the punching operation.
  5. The process repeats until the programmed hole pattern is completed.

This is single-sheet programmed punching, not continuous roll punching.
