Product Overview

The URIDGE Single-Station Pipe Coiler is designed for winding flexible HDPE pipe into organized coils at the end of a pipe extrusion line. The machine can be configured for HDPE pipes from approximately 16 mm to 110 mm in diameter and supports winding speeds up to 25 m/min.

Because pipe diameter, wall thickness, coil dimensions and line speed vary between applications, the winding structure is configured according to the customer’s actual pipe and coil requirements. A double-station pipe coiler can also be supplied when required.

Applications

The coiler is intended for HDPE pipe winding and downstream handling on HDPE pipe extrusion lines, collecting continuous flexible HDPE pipe into coils. The machine is designed for flexible HDPE pipe that is suitable for coiling.

Pipe Diameter Range

The coiler can be configured for HDPE pipes from approximately 16 mm to 110 mm in diameter. Final machine configuration depends on pipe diameter, pipe wall thickness, required coil size and line speed.

Winding Speed

The maximum winding speed is up to 25 m/min. Actual winding speed depends on pipe diameter, pipe stiffness, extrusion line speed and coil requirements.

Reciprocating Traverse

The reciprocating traverse mechanism guides the HDPE pipe across the reel during winding. The traverse movement helps distribute the pipe across the coil width and supports organized coil formation.

Tension Control

Depending on the application, the coiler can be configured with a tension-control system or a torque-motor solution.

Pneumatic System

Pneumatic operating mechanisms are used to support reel handling and machine operation.

VFD Drive Control

The winding system uses variable-frequency drive (VFD) control so that operating speed can be adjusted according to different pipe sizes and production conditions.

Integration with the Pipe Extrusion Line

The pipe coiler is installed downstream of the HDPE pipe extrusion line after pipe forming, cooling and haul-off. Its winding speed is adjusted to suit the pipe extrusion conditions so that the finished flexible pipe can be collected into coils.

Single-Station and Double-Station Options

This product is a single-station pipe coiler. A double-station pipe coiler can also be supplied according to pipe size, line speed and production requirements.
