4D Air Fiber Production Lines
URIDGE designs and builds 4D air fiber production lines for manufacturing air fiber mattress and pillow products. Using POE and TPEE materials, each line forms a three-dimensional entangled, hollow-fiber structure and can be configured to your target product, finished size, product structure and output requirements.
Overview
4D air fiber is a three-dimensional entangled fiber structure used to form breathable, washable mattress and pillow cores. The open fiber network lets air move through the material and allows water to pass during washing, while the fibers recover their shape after compression, giving a lightweight and resilient core.
URIDGE builds production lines for two main 4D air fiber products – mattress cores and pillow cores. The lines are typically configured for POE or TPEE, to the finished size, structure and output the customer requires. In some markets the same structure is also referred to as 3D air fiber.

4D air fiber lines are currently built for POE and TPEE materials, which are both thermoplastic elastomers used for breathable, washable air fiber cores. The choice between them depends on the target product, the structure and the processing requirements, and is not ranked here as a fixed performance figure. Air fiber itself is a three-dimensional entangled, hollow-fiber structure, and the same line concept can form mattress cores or pillow and cushion cores.
Choosing Between a Mattress or Pillow Air Fiber Line
Mattress and pillow air fiber lines share the same extrusion and fiber-entanglement principle, and differ mainly in the finished product format and the downstream shaping:
- Finished product: mattress cores and panels for bedding, versus pillow and cushion cores.
- Forming and shaping: mattress lines form board or panel cores; pillow lines form smaller cores shaped to pillow and cushion formats.
- Finished size: supplied by the customer as a requirement, rather than a fixed machine range.
- Cutting and sizing: cut to mattress length and panel size, or formed and cut to pillow and cushion formats.
- Downstream handling: stacking and handling suited to mattress panels, versus handling suited to pillow and cushion cores.
- Material selection: POE or TPEE, chosen for the target product feel and processing.
- Target application: mattress lines serve household, hospitality, healthcare and orthopedic bedding; pillow lines serve bedding, pillow and cushion applications.
How We Configure a 4D Air Fiber Production Line
URIDGE proposes a line from your requirements rather than a fixed machine range. Useful details to share include:
- Target product: mattress or pillow
- Material: POE or TPEE
- Finished product size
- Product thickness and structure
- Target output
- Firmness or density requirement
- Factory space and layout
- Downstream cutting and shaping requirements
- Electrical standard
- Automation requirement
