Product Overview

The URIDGE Dual-Station Turret Winder is designed for winding film, sheet and other roll materials, primarily as downstream equipment for extrusion lines. Its dual-station turret allows an alternate winding position to be prepared while production continues. Each winding shaft is independently driven.

In the standard configuration, material cutting and roll transfer are performed manually, while automatic cutting can be customized for projects that require it. The machine can also be configured as part of a standalone unwind-and-rewind system.

Dual-Station Turret Design

The dual-station turret provides two winding positions. The turret allows one winding position to be prepared while the other is operating, and turret rotation is electric.

Roll Changeover Process

The dual-station turret allows the upstream extrusion line to continue running during roll changeover. In the standard configuration, web cutting and transfer to the empty winding position are performed manually.

Manual Cutting and Optional Automatic Cutting

Web cutting is manual as standard. Automatic cutting is available only as a customized configuration. The machine does not include automatic taping or automatic splicing.

Independent Winding Drives

Each winding shaft is independently driven, allowing winding speed and torque to be controlled according to the material and roll requirement.

Torque Motor / Variable-Frequency Motor Options

Drive motors use a torque motor or variable-frequency motor configuration. Motor power is selected according to roll width, roll diameter, roll weight, line speed and winding requirements.

Optional Tension Control

Optional tension control can be configured using a tension controller to regulate winding speed and torque. For variable-frequency motor configurations, torque-control operation can be used according to the winding requirement.

Siemens PLC and HMI Control

The winder uses Siemens PLC and HMI control for machine operation and parameter setting.

Electric Turret Rotation

Turret rotation is electric.

Forward / Reverse Winding

Forward and reverse winding are supported.

Standalone Unwind and Rewind Configuration

For projects that require rewinding rather than direct extrusion-line winding, URIDGE can configure a standalone system with one unwinder and one rewinder.
